The Air Jaq was created in Fall 2005 as a part of the "Restoration" project that was kicked off with the Air Zoom Trainer 1 in 2004. Word has it that Tinker and Mark Smith, both who worked on the Air Raid and Air Raid II, were at the forefront of this project. The name of the shoe is a play on the original name of the Air Raid, the Air Jack.
Unfortunately the "Restoration" project was cancelled so when this hit store shelves it was not featured in any significant way.
It's a shame because these are extremely comfortable and a great performance update to the original Raid. There are also hidden details on this shoe including morse code below the ankle velcro straps.
The two colors pictured above were the only two that were ever released.
